Closure: We will be shut on Thurs 4th and Fri 5th of July due to a road closure. We will open Sat 6th and Sun 7th as normal.
Our new café at Bristol & Gloucester Gliding Club is now open! For now we’re open 9:30am – 4pm Fri, Sat & Sun (food served 9:30am – 3pm). From the start of June we’ll be also be open 10am – 2pm (usually later) on Thursday for coffee, cake and a very limited food menu. We take bookings online for food on Fri, Sat, and Sun (no bookings for coffee and cake) – please see the booking page. We have a very simple food menu but it changes regularly and is made from scratch. Expect homemade granola with our own yoghurts and compote; mezze plates with marinated aubergines, fried oster mushrooms, dips & salads; Korean pulled oyster mushroom rolls with pickles; slow cooked leek & mornay toasties; begun bahar curries with kachumber salad; chicken shawarma skewers; bhajis and more. We’ll also have great coffee and homemade cakes all day. The café is just over the road from the Cotswold Way, and in between Coaley Peak, Selsley Common and Woodchester Park, so why not have a walk and drop in for a coffee or takeaway lunch?!
Our address is: Caper, Bristol & Gloucester Gliding Club, Nympsfield, GL10 3TX

Our Ethos

Our food is made from scratch wherever possible. We make all of our own cakes, yoghurts, soft cheeses, spice blends, jams & preserves, marinades, ferments, pickles and more. We like to cook over fire as much as possible, with a barbecue and clay oven that we made ourselves in the current venue. Our menu is usually equal parts vegan, vegetarian and meat (local and free range). Our food is an eclectic blend of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Asian cuisines with an emphasis on processes and big flavours! We believe that food should be fun and celebratory, and whilst we sometimes get quite obsessed with details we never take ourselves or our food too seriously!
